Job title: Team Member/Line Cook
Choice Market in Denver, CO is looking for a senior line cook to join our growing team. We have three locations in Denver and growing, with Team Members generally working within all stores. We are looking for full-time applicants. Our ideal candidate is a consistent, punctual, and engaged.

Choice Market Broadway - 1770 N Broadway
Choice Market Bannock - 939 Bannock ST
Kitchen Responsibilities include:
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift and future shifts
- Navigate multiple 3rd party (Uber Eats, Doordash, etc) and internal ordering systems
- Taste, evaluate and modify as necessary all prepared food
- Send out all food prepared correctly based on the guidelines given
- Ensure that coolers, shelves and other equipment are properly maintained
- Ensure that all prepared work areas are clean at all times and that work and retail areas meet applicable state health and safety codes
- Work directly with the kitchen manager to ensure the necessary menu items are made correctly
- Follow procedures and recipes in a timely manner
- General Team Member Responsibilities include:
- General cashier and kiosk duties
- General daily prep and close cleaning duties
- Restocking support
- Inventory support
- Participate as a member at team meetings
- Show up on time and in company uniform daily
- Maintain a daily presence on the retail floor and interact with customers by practicing and exemplifying excellent customer service skills
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a lead line cook
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, sanitation and utensils
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Friendly demeaner with guests (open kitchen in all stores)
- Must have open availability
- Work nights, weekends, holidays and special events as needed (Morning shifts start at 6:30AM / Closing Shifts end by 11:30pm)
Working Conditions:
- Lifting, bending, and stooping will encompass more than a third of the time
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Unassisted lifting of objects in excess of 50 pounds
- Use of box cutters, knives and slicing equipment
- Sporadic exposure to fluctuating temperatures
Compensation:
- $19-$22 per hour plus tips
- Full health and dental benefits offered for full-time employees
- PTO available after 6 months
- 20% discount on products purchased in store
- (1) free meal each shift
