The Ready to Work program in Boulder, Colorado is a Boulder Bridge House program that began operating in 2015 and has proven the effectiveness to their approach each and every day, month, and year it's been operating. Hopeful residents must be wholeheartedly looking for a pathway out of homelessness and want to achieve full-time employment within 9 to 12 months of being accepted into the Ready to Work program. There are no exceptions to this, determination is something looked for and encouraged in the Ready to Work program. Staff wants residents to succeed and all that's required is that each resident take that walf step-by-step with those assistaing them through this transition. The safest place for anyone homeless and alone to sleep is in front of a bank. Step 13 Sober Living Contrary to what seems like popular belief not everyone that's homeless chose to live that way . Many of those homeless have some degree of mental illness, addiction problems they can get past, are criminals, or found themselves there due to severe distresses in their lives. When living on the streets you're constantly under threat and vulnerable just due to your circumstances. The safest place to be is right there in public with security cameras, and at night, wherever there are lights. You don't want to be the person alone in a dark corner somewhere thinking you're safe -- because you're not. Ready to Work Program for the Homeless

Ready to Work Program Ready to Work offers individuals a stepping stone to full-time employment. We are a work-based program up to 29 hours a week of paid, transitional employment in the Boulder area.  Trainees are paid an hourly wage and may be eligible to live in the newly renovated Ready to Work Housing and Employment Center for a year.  All interns will be assisted with their living situation during the internship. In addition to working Monday through Friday, as well as some weekends, program trainees are supported by case management providing support with financial management, job readiness, housing, support services and more. To be eligible, potential participants must be looking for a pathway out of homelessness, want to achieve full-time employment, and stable housing within 9 to 12 months of joining Ready to Work Boulder Interested individuals must complete an application and agree to all terms and conditions of the program including committing up to 29 hours a week
